DEFIANCE AND THE CONDUCT DISORDERS OF CHILDREN
PDF Print E-mail
Q - A good friend of mine has an 11-year-old boy with this condition (ODD, or Oppositional Defiancy Disorder), and is searching for a treatment. Could this program help?

A - We see many children with this diagnosis. Our treatment consisting of neurotherapy, behavior therapy, and if needed, remediation training is very effective for these children. Often the diagnosis of ODD is not appropriate for these children. Brain mapping frequently reveals other conditions affecting the child’s behavior, which when corrected eliminate the oppositional behaviors. The first step is to schedule an intake where a brain functioning assessment is obtained.
